The work of the Centre is based around a team of leading public law scholars working at the Faculty of Law UNSW, who have international reputations for research in constitutional and administrative law, Indigenous legal issues, anti-terrorism laws, human rights and international refugee and migration law. The research of Centre staff and featured in Centre activities is reflected in a range of publications, listed below.
Publications and Speeches
Centre Members publish their research in books and journals as well as deliver papers at conferences and seminars.
Submissions
The Centre contributes to public and political debate about legal affairs by preparing formal submissions and giving oral evidence to parliamentary and other committees.
Op-Eds
Centre staff regularly contribute to public debate about legal affairs through opinion-editorials to the media.
Gilbert + Tobin Centre Conference Papers
The Centre holds a number of events each year, including its annual constitutional law conferences and papers and webcasts are made available after the event.
Treaty Project Issues Papers
Four Issues Papers have been published during the life of the Treaty Projct dealing with the treaty debate, sovereignty, native title and health.
Terrorism and War Archive
This link provides information on important issues surrounding terrorism since the September 11 attacks and is one of the Centre's projects.
Newsletter
The Centre prepares a biannual newsletter updating readers on Centre activities including past and upcoming events, staff and visitors, project reports and recent publications.
