Privacy Policy

The Gilbert + Tobin Centre of Public Law, located at the University of New South Wales, values the privacy of individuals and views privacy as an important issue. The Centre adheres to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), including the National Privacy Principles (NPPs).

Contact information: name, address, phone, fax and mobile numbers, email etc.

We use personal information to provide services and to keep people up-to-date with the latest information generated by the Centre.

Who we disclose this information to

All information received is confidential. We will not unnecessarily disclose any information except to the following extent:

	to any person necessary in connection with our services
	within members of the Centre
	where the law requires us to do so
	where you agree for us to do so

How we protect your personal information

We take reasonable steps to protect all information which we hold from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Information is stored in electronic databases with access limited to Centre staff.

Access and correction of personal information

The Centre will provide access to all personal requests for information about the content, type and disclosure of personal information, either in person or in writing upon proof of identity. The Centre will take all reasonable steps to ensure that the information we hold is accurate, complete and up-to-date. If the information is found to be incorrect, we will use our best endeavours to amend that information.

Direct mail material

The Centre will include on all informational mailing material a choice for recipients to opt out of future correspondence.
